Privacy Notice
This is a courtesy translation. The Turkish version is the legally binding one. Under Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK"), personal data collected through the forms on canberke.com (email list sign-up and the booking form) is processed as described below.
1. Data controller
Data controller: Berke Polat Can (sole trader). You can send requests about your personal data to berke@canberke.com by email.
2. Personal data collected
In the email list form:
- Name
- Email address
- Date and time of sign-up
- Consent record and timestamp (privacy notice acknowledgement and email consent)
In the booking form (/gorusme):
- Name
- Email address
- Brand or personal brand name
- Field or sector
- A social media account or link, if you choose to share one
- The short description you write about your brand
- Consent record and timestamp
Both forms process temporary technical data to prevent abuse (IP-based rate limiting). This data is not stored permanently.
3. Purposes of processing
- Building and managing the email list
- Sending new content, guides, tools and resources by email
- Reviewing your booking request, creating the appointment and preparing for the call
- Contacting you and providing a proposal at your request
- System security and abuse prevention
4. Legal basis
Your personal data is processed on the basis of your explicit consent under Article 5 of the KVKK (privacy notice acknowledgement and email consent). Commercial electronic messages rely on your explicit consent under Law No. 6563.
5. Retention period
Your data is kept until you leave the email list or withdraw consent, and in any case for the periods required by applicable law. When you withdraw consent, your records are deleted or anonymised within a reasonable time.
6. Recipients and data processors
- Cloudflare, Inc. — website hosting and database (D1) infrastructure.
- Resend / Amazon SES (eu-west-1, İrlanda) — email delivery infrastructure.
- Calendly LLC (USA) — booking form only: the scheduling calendar, the confirmation email and the Google Meet link. When you move to the calendar step, your name and email address are transferred to Calendly.
- Google LLC — the Google Meet infrastructure the call runs on.
Calendly and Google may process data in the USA. This transfer relies on the explicit consent you give so the booking service can be provided; you are informed with a checkbox before the calendar step.
These providers access your data only as far as the service requires and only as data processors. Your data is never sold to third parties for marketing.
7. Your rights (KVKK Art. 11)
You have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed, to request information, to learn the purpose of processing, to have incomplete or incorrect data corrected, to request erasure or destruction, to request restriction of processing, and to claim compensation for damages.
8. Making a request
To exercise your rights, write to berke@canberke.com . To leave the email list, simply reply to any email you receive.
